About the Event

CBR Facts - CBR Plant Salient Data – Initial Commercial Phase* Gallons Per Year (GPY) Biofuel Production 1 to 20 million GPY based on biobutanol and esters applied. Building(s) Square Feet Approximately 50,000 (SF) square feet in multiple attached or close-proximity buildings (Food House, Fermentation House, Electrical Power Generator House, Bioplastics House, Aquaculture House, Hydroponics House, etc.) NOTE: Food and food component production may not occur in the same environment as any fermentation operation. Land Acreage for CBR Manufacturing Plant Approximately 15-20 (possibly as many as 30 acres, depending on products to be produced and anticipated future plant expansion) as acres for the plant proper; plus, 100-300 adjoining acres for expansion into multiple adjoining manufacturing facilities and use for test plots. Overall, final requirement is site-specific. NOTE: CBR LLC intends to purchase the land for the plant site and adjoining acreage but will not purchase the land necessary to grow source materials. CBR LLC will contract with local farmers to produce the source crops. Bushels of Corn Approximately 1 million bushels of No. 2 dent corn per year Acres of Specialty USDA Heart Friendly Corn Approximately 5,000 acres per year or 500,000 bushels per year phased into plant processing anticipating a yield of about 100+ bushels per acre. Acres of Sweet Cane Sorghum Approximately 15,000–20,000 acres required to produce 500,000 wet tons per year at approximately 25-30 wet tons per acre at a moisture level of 70-80%. NOTE: CBR facilities with an organic HBR division will process industrial hemp/cannabis as not only another biomass source, but will seek to also process the food elements from this unique plant source. Such a CBR facility will seek to process up to 500,000 wet tons of industrial hemp/cannabis as it becomes available. Tons of Corn Stover, Rice Straw, Food Wastes Approximately 100,000 tons per year of corn stover, rice straw, or food wastes. Acres of Soybeans or Camelina, or Teff Approximately 4,000-5,000 acres per year or about 200,000 bushels per year of regular soybeans and/or high oleic soybeans Water Requirements Approximately 250,000 gallons per day potable water before recycle capability is online; after recycle approximately 100,000 gallons per day Electrical Requirements 440-3 phase for ~5 MWH before hydrogen production and conversion Note: Initial requirement; plant will produce its own electricity once hydrogen production commences. Ability to tie into the local grid will also be essential as a back up Natural Gas Requirements Before hydrogen installation ~ 90,000 million BTUs/yr or ~ 90 therms per hour Waste Treatment Initially access to minimal waste treatment processing during the Demonstration Phase until such time as fullscale internal waste treatment operations are installed and put into operation on the back-end of the CBR. A waste treatment capability shall be required to handle the capacity of over 600 adult workers total, present at the facility in three shifts, 365 days per year. Anticipated Construction/Start-up Time 1st commercial CBR Phase I: 18-20 months Subsequent CBRs: 18 months CBR Costs • Demonstration Phase – Approximate $20 million–part of the first commercial phase • 1st Commercial Food Phase – Approximate $50 million including Demonstration Phase • 2nd Commercial Biomass/Biofuels Phase – Approximately $50 Million in Additional Costs Jobs Demonstration Phase Year 1 – 15 Jobs 1st Commercial Phase (Food) Year 1 – 30 Jobs Year 2 – 75 Jobs 2nd Commercial Phase (Biomass/Biofuels) 150-200 Total Jobs Agricultural/Food/Bioplastics/Biofuels Phase 300-400 Additional Direct Jobs 400 Construction Jobs Indirect Jobs: 500 (off-site from the CBR facility) TOTAL JOBS for the Community: 600 - 1,000 Economic Driver Product Yields Corn Protein Isolate (CPI) – ~1.5 million pounds per year Resistant Starch – ~10 million pounds per year Sterol/Stanol Corn Oils – ~ 500,000 pounds per year Fermentation: Butanol/Biofuels - 10,000,000 gallons per year; 15,000,000 pounds of bioplastics *Notice – This data is preliminary and based on best available information to date until the completion of the Demonstration Plant Phases. Data based on preliminary engineering assessments.
